My earliest memory of my dad and his music was going to sleep on a mattress in his music room while he worked. Sometimes, even falling asleep behind him on his chair while leaning on his back. I must’ve been about four or five when that started. From there, I learned from everyone in the family because we’re all very different. I think we all appreciate the same genres of music. Sharing music with each other is how we bond—whether it’s pop, jazz, rock, EDM, hip-hop, R&B, or something from my parents’ time, we share it with each other and nine times outta 10, we really kick back and enjoy.
